Hey,
I was wondering what, if any, things there are in place on most wireless routers to protect users of a public wireless LAN from people hacking into their computer from the same LAN? There are ways to protect against people hacking into the system from outside but what about from within?

If there is nothing with the router to protect against this, what could I setup to do this?

Thx,

Ryan

There is no protection on the public LAN. I would suggest treat it like an internet connection:
- TCP/IP only on the connection.
- Disable file and printer sharing.
- Run a firewall.
