Hi, I'm currently using Netgear wireless router MR814, connecting to my cable modem to ComCast. I have two computers connected to the router, both wired. Running Win2k & MS FTP server.
I'd like to make one of the computers my FTP server, so my friends can download/upload stuff to that machine. That machine has IP address of 192.168.0.2, so under Advanced/Port Forwarding Menu at Router configuration site, I defined Port Forwarding FTP Service to port 21 to 192.168.0.2.
I tried to ftp to 192.168.0.2, and of course, it works fine. but when i tried to ftp to 12.234.131.xxx, which is the real IP address my ISP (Comcast) assigned, I got a Connection Refused error msg.
did I miss anything? i've already upgraded to the latest firmware.
thanks,
Franklin
