I have been working on this for literally 4 days.

First I would like to thank you for your helpful tutorial at:
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_filesharing/whole.htm

I learned a lot from there.

I also found this link helpful:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q307882

I can not type my question again... too long, so please take advantage of my post here:
http://communities.microsoft.com/NewsGroups/previewFrame.asp?ICP=GSS3&sLCID=US&sgroupURL=microsoft.public.windowsxp.security_admi n&sMessageID=%253C778d01c28510%252466bdc940%25242ae2 c90a@phx.gbl%253E

What I have done today is create a username called Internetcafe1 and put it in a usergroup that I made up called Visitors, (however maybe I should have put it in the users group) - Any way -

I would like our visitors to be able to:

1. log on; surf the net;
(the network part is fine, it is the restrictions that I can not set)

2. Use installed software, be able to view hotmail and most attachments, (we run avg and have a router)
- I am guessing that there should be a temp folder in their folder so that temp files can be viewed etc).

3. Access our printer, which has been set up to another computer, again that part works fine so far.

The details of how our computers are networked together are in my linked post above, if you need more info I would be happy to reply!!

Really thats it!

At this time the account Internetcafe1 is still able to access the c drive and control panel etc... even though I think I have followed the instructions on the two links I have provided.

Excuse me for being long winded, I am just trying to let you know where I am at.

Thank you in advance!

I read you post:
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_filesharing/10q-n-a.htm

I finally have the group security set up about as secure as I can figure at this point.

I was wondering if it is possible to just transfer the settings for the user group from my one computer to the other - remotely.

Unfortunately I set up these settings in one of our internet terminal computers instead of the main computer, which has the printer hooked up and more admin capabilities.

I am going to go to our other internet terminal and try to transfer by setting up a similar accout.

Please offer any tips if you can and I will check back soon.

Thanks for your info, could not have gotten this far without your site.
