Hi,

We recently installed the Linksys wireless BEFW11S4 + WPC11 AND WUSB11. It works well but I have a problem (win2000pro) using the "MSN Messenger": since installed the wireless system, I cannot make any voice / video conferences. The error messages suggested me to check the NAT. I did all the changes as required by Linksys, set the port-forwarding feature of my router and set IP addresses. The driver is the most updated and I do not use any extra firewall. I still cannot make voice / video conferences. May you help?

If you forwarded the correct ports you did what should be necessary.

Here are the ports listed on this website for you to check:

MSN Messenger
(Watch Out! Opens a wide port range!)
NOTE: Shut off any personal firewall programs such as BlackIce, ZoneAlarm, etc.
Ports 6891-6900 enable File send,
Port 6901 is for voice communications
Allows Voice, PC to Phone, Messages, and Full File transfer capabilities.
IN TCP 6891 - 6900
IN TCP 1863
IN UDP 1863
IN UDP 5190
IN UDP 6901
IN TCP 6901

Thanks! I doubled checked. Everything is as you mentioned, but - still I cannot make any video/voice conferences with the MSN Messenger. Also, I named the ‘Customized Applications’ "MSN" - is this the problem? or do you might have any other suggestion?
