Hi everyone!

Has anyone ever considered using HomePlug powerline networking as a "backbone" to join two Ethernet segments in different buildings?

The concept would be to run one or more PCs or other network devices in a garage or barn, with them having access to shared files, printers and Internet connections that are provisioned in the main house. Maybe some of you who read this discussion may want to stop your house from sounding like a video arcade by moving the kids' online-capable game console out to the detached garage, barn loft or bungalow which is being put to use as a games room. On the other hand, you may have decided to make the garage become a home office rather than as a place to store the car or become a room to store your family's and friend's junk.

With regards,
