OK, now, I have a couple questions. With this wireless-G AP does it support network bridging like the WAP11 does?

I need to connect two networks togther.

And what is the speed of this AP using it over a bridge? The one I have now is only 3.1 Mb or something, and i was looking up some information and i think the WAP11 is the same speed for a bridge.

Will the G make it go faster?

And if not, what will? I need this connection to be fast. But i can't lease a line.

Thanks

Well, the spec does not say it supports wireless bridging so I would assume not.

You can download the manual for the WAP54G from Linksys' website. IIRC, they mention that it does have a bridge mode, but will only talk to another AP that is set to bridge mode. To quote, from page 20, figure 6-7:

"Note: In Wireless Bridge mode, the Access Point can ONLY be accessed by another access point in Wireless Bridge mode."

I don't know enough about wireless bridging to say if that's normal behavior for wireless bridges (i.e. they can only talk to other bridges) or if it's a limitation of the Linksys unit. Linksys is due to release a dedicated Wireless-G bridge (model #WET54G) in about a month or so (at least according to Amazon.com which is already taking preorders).
