problems with 95 to xp

I am tring to connect a IBM PC1 with Windows 95 to a Compact with Windows XP home via a hub and netwoek cards.

Will I be able to do this without upgrading the PC1 to Win 98. If so HELP!

The cards are installed and sftwear installed. NO connection between computers.

I have a netgear hub. with simmons e net board on compact with xp and advanced network adapter on the other computer with 95.

i think you might have to upgrade to at least windows 98se or standard. i dont think windows 95 is that good with networking.

You do NOT need to upgrade from Windows 95. You may want to patch up Windows 95 where possible. One of the most important patches is the Winsock 2.0 update, if you plan on running TCP/IP.
