Currently I have a Linksys router (firmware v1.44) hooked up to my SBC DSL PPOE connection. I am running a VPN connection over this using Symantec Enterprise 7.0 VPN software. I know SBC has PPOE management software installed when you setup the DSL connection and I know that the DSL router has a PPOE management function as well. The VPN software has an option to allow PPOE thru it. Which PPOE options should I enable or disable? Im guessing just PPOE on the router needs enabled and I should remove the SBC PPOE software like Enternet 300. Since the VPN works Im also guessing I need to leave the PPOE option enabled in Symantec as well. My issue is I have the VPN connected and I try checking Lotus Notes, I can send out with no issue, However when I try to recieve it just hangs on connecting. I think I need port triggering enabled but since the ports on my local machine get assigned dynamically Lotus just connects in to what's available. Does anyone know what triggering range I need to enable to get Lotus Notes working thru my DSL Router?.
Would enabling IPSEC on the DSL router need to be set also? Please help as I am getting into weeks on resolving this. Thanks.
