i am using a d-link router, di-704p, which is connected to my dsl modem. i have 2 computers hooked up to the router sharing the internet connection. one is a g4 imac running in os10.2; the other is a pc running win2000. both of these computers have icq on it and can send/receive files (through icq) to each other. but the imac couldn't communicate with other people at all. the pc can, to some people, but not all. i have looked into every support page from icq, to d-link, to apple, but i still can't find a way to fix this problem. for one, i'm a total bum when it comes to this sort of programming and stuff, i don't know what proxy and stuff means; two, well i really just need some really simply stated step-by-step guide to do this. router programming for dummies or something would be the right thing for me. your help would be much appreciated, thank you!
