I have a SMC SMC7004VWBR wireless router setup on my home network and am trying to get the port forwarding working. I have a webserver installed on machine 2 on my network and am trying to forward any requests for port 80 to that machine thru the router. I set this up before and it was working fine then one day it stopped working. When I originally set it up I went to my router config page and under NAT and Virtual Server I specified the Internal address of machine 2 and put 80 as the port.
This will not connect from outside of my lan. If I goto machine 1 on my lan and type machine 2's internal ip in the my web browser the page comes up. If I type my routers ip, the ISP's IP, from within my lan the page comes up but if I try to access this from the outside I get a page not found. This makes me think the router is forwarding but machine 2 is not letting me in. By the way I am running WINXP MCE on machine 2.

I do not have any firewall software setup.

Any help would be great!!!

I don't run a web service, but I access other services on my LAN with port forwarding. It sounds like what you have done should work.

The only thing that occurs to me is that the internal IP address of the host PC should be fixed or it may change when the PC is rebooted.
