I have a two-laptop wirless system at home, using the D-Link 713P - the key is the "P" ... we need wireless printing. When I upgraded a former laptop to XP, one of the problems was the printing (I've since replaced that laptop with a new machine, also with XP Pro, also with this same problem). In a nutshell, the print jobs take up to five minutes per page - even if it's simple text. However, the Win 98 laptop prints wirelessly without a hitch - very zippy. Yes, the XP machine has a different wireless card - a NetGear MA104. But I had that card on my old Win 98 configuration without a problem. The key was in the XP upgrade. D-Link has a special procedure for XP printing, but that didn't help at all.

Note that the printer I have is the Canon S600 - maybe the combo of XP, D-Link and Canon is a schoolyard fight?

Anyone have any ideas?

I have two laptops with XP Home and XP Pro. The XP Home has a MA401. I do wireless printing via the (netgear) router/switch to a network inkjet. No problems. Of course the printer is (should be) the bottleneck.

I think this should eliminate XP or the MA401 as your problem.

I guess a possibility is the print driver you are using on XP. Is there a later one?
