I have a microsoft MN-500 wireless router and I am looking to extend the range so that my wireless clients (two laptops) can access the network in areas of my home where the signal does not reach. The MN-500 has the ability to be configured a a bridge. My question is, could I buy another Mn-500 and set it bridge mode and extend the range or do I have to use an AP or a dedicated repeater?

Brett, I am not familuar with that product, but I dont think a bridge is what you need. You need another AP (access point). You can probably disable the router function of it and make it just an AP, but im not sure. Check with MS and see if you can, then you can get another one, or, if your wanting to stay with Microsoft, they may offer a dedicated AP.

Good luck.
