neywork glitch

I have desktop and laptop, both running WinXP. They are connected with a linksys router and networking card. I also have an external harddrive (F) attatched to my desktop via USB2. I have all of the same sharing settings enabled with all three drives.

The desktop and laptop can both access each other, however neither of them can access the external F drive. The error message I am getting is something about not having enough server storage available.

What is going on here??
