I have a Belkin 4 Port Cable router and am also trying to run Zone Alarm. However, the ZA interferes with the router to where I have to reset the router every so often. How can I get the Belkin router & ZA to cooperate???

I can't see how ZA can effect the router. More likely it is some other problem that requires reset of the router. You don't have to use ZA when you have a router. I suggest you try running without ZA and see what happens.

Thanks for the reply. I realize that I probably don't require a software firewall since the router has an NAT firewall, but I have read that it wouldn't hurt to have both (although apparantly it did in my case!) The problem does disappear when I uninstall the Zone Alarm, so I will probably just let it be. I just couldn't understand why they wouldn't work together.....

Well I agree that a firewall on the PC is a good idea in addition to the router. I use zone alarm myself. The purpose of the firewall on the PC is to detect unexpected outgoing connections from your PC (e.g. from spyware or trojans). I recommend zonealarm on the PC.
Still, I cannot see ZA will cause the need for a router reboot. So see how it goes without ZA and maybe the router will show a problem still.
