I have two computers... a PC w/ XP Pro and a Laptop I use for work that has Win 2000 on it. I want to be able to take files from the laptop via the PC. I have enabled File and Print Sharing on both of them and I can transfer files to the PC from the laptop... but when I try to open the laptop though the PC it asks for a password. How do I change this password? I have tried both the admin password and my login password, neither work.
Any Ideas?

Have you made a network share under C: on the laptop?
Is your laptop part of a domain at work ? I use an NT laptop at work which is part of the company domain. When I access it from my XP laptop at home (which is part of my home workgroup) the company NT laptop asks for an ID and password.
the ID is entered like this:
domain\username
password is whatever you use.
Maybe its the same for your laptop.
Try that.
