Welcome to the newly revamped forums area of PracticallyNetworked.com.
The downside to a new forum-- moving to this new software (vBulletin) means we lost the discussions from the previous forums. Sorry. Porting over old posts just wasn't possible.
The upside -- this new software is some of the best there is and I hope it will bring in new folks to the ongoing discussions of issues for small network builders.
There was mention on the old boards from some users disappointed that there wasn't more interaction with myself and other experts on the forums, and for that, I'm sorry. The forums were and are meant to be a place for users to help other users, but I'm hoping to get good, solid moderators with a strong networking background in here to help users with issues (or at least point people in the right direction if other forum members can't help). If you or someone you know might be a good fit, answer some questions here and then get in touch with me.
Remember, no question is too basic -- everyone has to start somewhere. Keep that in mind when answering other forum members.
Most of all, have fun! Home and small office networking is really still in its infancy, but it's a fast-paced and exciting part of the computer world. Enjoy setting up your network environment and when you get stuck, come back to PracticallyNetworked for the help you need. We'll be here.
